Veterinarians

  • Dr. Adam Hurlbut , DVM (Owner)


    Dr. Adam graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2002.  He has a 3 year old son who keeps him busy when he’s not at the hospital.  He also has two dogs, Nora, a Shih Tzu-Maltese mix and Henry, a rescued Golden Retriever.  Dr. Adam enjoys spending time with his family and doing anything outdoors including snowboarding and surfing.  Besides caring for dogs and cats, Dr. Adam has a special interest in rabbits and pocket pets.  He also has an interest in anesthesia and pain management.

  • Dr. Debbie Rines-Thornquist , DVM


    Dr. Debbie Rines-Thornquist received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota in 1995. She has practiced at Kelley Animal Hospital since 2000. Her special interests include feline medicine and hunting dogs, and she enjoys mentoring veterinary students from the University of Minnesota.  Dr. Debbie has a Labrador Retriever named Ruby and a big cat named Toby (or "Extreme Toby" at times). She enjoys ballroom dancing, reading, and training Ruby for hunting competitions.

  • Dr. Lisa Martinson (formerly Heitmiller) , DVM


    Dr. Lisa Marinson graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2000. She has two daughters Katie, age 19 and Allison age 17. She has a Golden Retriever mix, Samantha, and five cats named Cosmo, KC, Mika, PJ and Rosie. She enjoys gardening, reading, and bird watching. Dr. Martinson has a special interest in felines and surgery.

Practice Manager

  • Denby Roe


    Denby is the Hospital Manager and works with Dr. Adam in managing the business aspects of our hospital. She graduated from University of Minnesota in 1999. She has one 3-year-old son and two dogs, Nora and Henry. She enjoys reading, biking, trying new reastaurants and most of all spending time with her family.

Certified Veterinary Technicians

  • Amie , CVT



    Amie has worked at Kelley Animal Hospital three separate times. Initially in high school as kennel help, then as a certified veterinary technician before moving to Texas and we are lucky to have her with us again after her move back to Minnesota.  Amie has two cats, Leo and Lilly.  Amie enjoys working out, fishing, biking and being outdoors.

  • Amy , CVT


    Amy graduated from MN School of Business in 2008. She did her internship at Kelley Animal Hospital and was hired after that. Amy recently bought a home she is currently renovating. She has three cats named Slyders, Paxton, and Arby (Arby is a rescue from outside of Arby’s restaurant on one of the coldest days of the year). Amy enjoys collecting agates, home remodeling and spending time outdoors.

  • Beth , CVT


    Beth has been with Kelley Animal hospital since October 2001. She is our lead veterinary technician. She graduated from Medical Institute of Minnesota (Argosy) in 1999. Beth has a named Ava and 7 cats Basil, Chloe, Frodo, Harry, Maddie, Lucy, and Ozzy.

  • Erin , CVT



    Erin graduated from Bel-Rea in Denver, Colorado as a veterinary technician. She has been at Kelley Animal hospital since 2008. She has a daughter named Kaydence, a son name Kaleb and a German Shepherd mix named Bandit.  She enjoys being outdoors, shopping, cooking, and spending time with her family.

  • Holly , CVT


    Holly did her internship at Kelley Animal Hospital and we are proud that she continued on with us as a certified technician after graduating.  She always has a smile on her face and is happy to help with questions you might have.  Holly has one dog named Roxy, whom she adopted last year.
  • Tracy , CVT


    Tracy graduated from Argosy University in 2004.  She has Puggle named Cedar. Tracy has two little girls, Anna and Abby. She enjoys playing softball, volleyball, being outdoors and spending time with her family. Tracy has been with Kelley Animal Hospital since 2005.
